York 360 Imperial Century (100 miles) Audax Ride

A new 100 mile route for 2026, a full loop of the city of York. The first third will be covered quickly as it heads south then east on the flat of the Vale of York. As the route turns to head north and into the Yorkshire Wolds, the the highest points in the route are reached at each end of the traverse of the wolds. Looking back to the south and the East as you ride, and depending on the weather on the day, its worth looking to see what distant landmarks you can see on the far horizon. At Malton riders will start to head back west and into the Howardian Hills, lower and smaller, than the Wolds, but more choppy. A different landscape to admire before the descent to Easingwold and a return the the Vale of York. Heading south again to complete the full circumnavigation. Control at: Selby (get receipt), Pocklington (info), Malton (get receipt), Terrington and Hovingham (both info, only 6km apart) and Easingwold (get receipt) E-Brevet available. The Tockwith events (50km, 100km, 160km and 200km rides) are all priced the same. There will be unlimited tea/coffee/juice, some simple breakfast items at the start and plenty of cake at the finish. This is included in the event price. I encourage you to come in time to enjoy this before the ride, and not rush off afterwards. This will allow you to benefit from socialising with riders who you may be moving at a different speed to, during the ride itself. As an organiser I want to see everyone that wants to, attend the event. Now and again people may feel they can't take on the ride they entered. I am happy to be contacted, to swap the event you entered for a shorter ride, rather than not see you on the day. This also works the other way; if training is going well and you want to take on a longer challenge, give me a shout.
