C&NW CTC Audax events from Ruthin 2026

A choice of 2 Audax events run from Ruthin in north Wales The Clwydian (BR) 207Km cycling event starting from Ruthin, N. Wales. Controls at the start (Ruthin), Loggerheads, Pensarn and  Corwen,  Llanuwchllyn, plus 4 information controls. One of the classic hard North Wales audax routes from the Graham Mills/Dave Mathews stable. The route climbs to Brenig from the sea and though the Clwydian and Haulkyn Ridges as well. EBrevet encouraged GPX file is available. Lights mandatory. Wales. Controls at the start, (Ruthin), Pensarn, Llyn Brenig, Corwen, Ruthin Rugby Club plus 4 information controls Ride to the sea through the Dyffryn Clwyd Vale of Clwyd then ascend to Llyn Brenig and the down to the Dee at Corwen. You then climb the Horseshoe pass before the descent to Ruthin for refreshments. Lights recommended. E-Brevet permitted Start at 8.30 finish by 18.54 50:50@50 is an initiative to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Audax UK and to try to get more females to ride Audax events. The hope is that 50% of the field will be female riders.
