Cycling events in the Midlands

The Midlands punch above their weight in UK cycling. The Peak District's western edge brings Mam Tor, Snake Pass, Winnats and The Cat and Fiddle into range for Derbyshire and Staffordshire clubs. Rutland Water hosts a popular ride series. Shropshire and Herefordshire offer some of the quietest and prettiest cycling in England.

Racing in the region is strong — Newport Shropshire, the Velopark at Birmingham, and the ever-reliable Tour of the Peak keep the calendar busy from March to October.
